Clay Harris

Clayton is a Partner and Owner at Fridovich and Harris, Attorneys at Law. His practice focuses primarily on civil litigation and representing plaintiffs. He has years of experience successfully representing plaintiffs who are seeking to right the wrongs done to them by others.

Clayton was born and raised in Memphis, TN and attended Auburn University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. Clayton first worked a journalist for publications such as the Charleston Post and Courier and the Rocky Mount Telegram, and then as a public relations specialist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Clayton decided to change career paths and obtained his law degree from The University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, MN. During law school, Clayton was a member of the law school’s negotiations team where he was mentored by negotiators from Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, Clayton worked as an intern for the Albuquerque, NM Public Defender’s Office where he worked on major sex assault cases and other felony charges.

 

After graduating from law school, Clayton moved to Colorado and pursued his passion of representing people. He worked as a public defender in Aurora, where he began to gain extensive trial and litigation experience. Clayton went on to switch to civil litigation and spent the next 4 ½ years as a litigation attorney at major personal injury firm in the Denver area. During that time, Clayton was part of trial teams that secured verdicts totaling over $1,000,000. He has represented clients in civil cases ranging from motor vehicle wrecks, to slip and falls, sexual assault, wrongful death and products liability.

Clayton has tried over 40 jury trials during his time as a public defender and civil litigator, ranging from domestic violence, to theft, to personal injury. Throughout his career, Clayton has handled a wide variety of criminal cases in Colorado as well as serious and complex civil litigation cases.
