Ashley was born and raised in Lakeland, Florida and attended Auburn University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and a minor in Political Science. During law school, Ashley was the editor-in-chief of her school’s law review and participated in several moot court competitions, where she earned top marks for her trial advocacy skills.

Ashley worked as a judicial intern with the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals and at a personal injury law firm in Birmingham, Alabama where she gained experience working on complex civil litigation cases. Ashley tried over 50 jury trials during her time as a public defender, including several high-profile cases of sexual assault and first-degree murder. Ashley then worked as a litigation attorney at a large personal injury firm in Denver, where she learned the ins and outs of personal injury law.
